Zvíkov Castle

The Zvíkov Castle, situated above the confluence of the Otava and Vltava rivers, is the best-known early-gothic castle in the Czech lands. The parts accessible to visitors include the royal palace, royal bedrooms, servants’ room, dining hall, hall of knights, preparation room, dancing hall, crown hall, and St. Wenceslas Chapel. Visitors can take a boat trip to the nearby Orlík Chateau (suitable also for cyclists). The Zvíkov Summer Theatre takes place there every July and August.
