Romantic canyon with ragged rocks and caves
The stream Židova strouha (Jew’s Streamlet) is only 20.5 km long and it rises near Bzí; below Bechyně, it creates a romantic canyon with ragged rocks and caves and flows into the Lužnice river. It is the last section, which is the most beautiful and has a unique atmosphere. In 1988 it was proclaimed a natural monument. Cruises on the Vltava In the summer, boat trips to Kořensko and Orlík nad Vltavou are provided by boats anchored at the quay behind the steel bridge. For short cruises on the Vltava in the surroundings of the town you can use the small boat which is anchored under the bridge at the mooring site (June – September).
