Třístoličník (Dreisesselberg) (1,333 m) is a mountain near the tripoint of the Czech Republic, Bavaria, and Austria. It is one of the most important and visited peaks in the Šumava Mountains, featuring bizarre rock formations and breathtaking views of the Czech countryside and the Alpine peaks.

How to get there

It is possible to drive up to Třístoličník from the German side via Strážný and Haimühle. You can leave your car at the parking lot and walk the last kilometer to the summit. From there, you can take a beautiful ridge hike to Plechý (7 km).

Alternatively, you can take a train from anywhere to Stožec and continue to the border at Nové Údolí. From there, you can hike up the red-marked trail to the top of Třístoličník (8 km).
