Castle Museum and Castle Tower Český Krumlov
The museum and tower with a viewing gallery are located in the grounds of Český Krumlov Château. Inside the museum, you will find a number of rare exhibits from the château depositories
What you will see
The Castle Museum exhibition was opened in 2011 by the National Heritage Institute and brings you to the times of the Lords of Krumlov, the Rosenbergs, and other noble houses residing in Český Krumlov and transforming its appearance over the centuries. You can see a number of precious artifacts from the castle depositories and view films from the beginning of the 20th century.
In addition to the exposition of the Castle Museum, you can climb 162 steps to the top of the Castle Tower, which has always been the symbol of the town of Český Krumlov, of its history and beauty. It is "the towerest of all towers" as once characterised by Karel Čapek and offers a beautiful view over Krumlov and surroundings.

How to get there
To reach the tower, take the road from Kájov to České Budějovice, then turn right onto Latrán Street just before the bridge. Continue to the Budějovická Gate, then walk to the Červená Gate, which leads to the first castle courtyard ending at the bear moat. From there, you must continue on foot to the second courtyard, where the tower is located.
