Archaeological Open-Air Museum Trocnov
The archaeological open-air museum under construction in Trocnov will recreate part of a medieval village, presenting the appearance of buildings and everyday life in the late 14th century.
The aim of the museum is to showcase the basic typological and social spectrum of medieval village architecture. It will serve primarily as an educational site, illustrating daily life during that period, including household items and farming practices. The site will be used to complement history lessons and educational events for schools as well as for the general public.
The demanding construction involves a high level of manual labor and the use of historical techniques, especially woodwork and roof-making. It is divided into three stages and is scheduled for completion in 2024.
