Municipal Museum and Gallery Vodňany
The very beginning of the Vodňany Gallery was marked by the generous donation of Dr. Blahomír Žahour, who gifted all his property – the lifelong work of his late wife Anna Žahourová and his own – to his hometown to establish a municipal gallery.
The museum offers insights into the history of Vodňany. The exhibition includes the Memorial Hall of František Herites, the Memorial Hall of Julius Zeyer, and the Mikoláš Aleš Hall. It showcases works by Czech and regional painters and hosts exhibitions of works by students from Vodňany schools.

Additional information
The museum also includes information on fisheries studies and research, complemented by textbooks and teaching aids from the Fisheries Secondary School and books from the significant specialized library of the Research Institute for Fisheries and Hydrobiology.
The museum building also houses a tourist information center.
