Hradišťský vrch Observation Tower
The 28-meter-high observation tower was opened to the public in 2019. From the tower, you can see Kleť, the Slabošovka observation tower, Viehberg, Šumava, Knížecí stolec, Smrčina, Temelín, České Budějovice, Hluboká, and, in good visibility, even the Alps.
The youngest of the trio of observation towers in the Novohradsko-Doudlebsko tourist region was built on Hradišťský vrch (774 m above sea level) in 2018. It was ceremoniously opened in March 2019, when the wooden spiral staircase leading to a height of nearly 30 meters welcomed its first visitors. The observation tower is notable not only for its views (Šumava, Alps) but also for its architecture, which playfully surpasses the austere style of telecommunications towers on Kraví hora and Slabošovka.
