Brewery Vysoký Chlumec
Brewery exhibition on the occasion of the 555th anniversary of the local brewing tradition.
The first mentions of brewing beer in Vysoký Chlumec date back to 1466. Since 1474, the brewery was owned by the Roudnice branch of the traditional Czech noble family of Lobkowicz, which owned it, with interruptions during times of oppression, until 2006. Today, it is part of the Pivovary Lobkowicz group.
Unfortunately, in 2021, beer production here was discontinued. However, to preserve the legacy of this craft, a brewery exhibition was created. Old beer bottles, cooperage tools, labels, mugs, coasters – all this can be found on the first floor of the municipal office of Vysoký Chlumec. Visits can be arranged in advance at the local information center.
Entrance fee
Visits to the exhibition can be arranged at the Vysoký Chlumec information center.
