Bohemia Regent Brewery
Few breweries in Central Europe can boast such a tradition as the Třeboň brewery, founded in 1379.
The oldest beer production facility here was owned as early as 1367 by the Augustinian monastery. Třeboň beer began to gain renown and gradually earned a good reputation beyond the country's borders.
The trade name "Regent" is inspired by the historical figure of Knight Jakub Krčín of Jelčany (1533–1604), who was initially a Rosenberg official and later the regent of the vast dominion of Vilém of Rosenberg, the uncrowned king of the entire Czech Kingdom.
