The Small Theatre is located on Hradební Street in České Budějovice. The nearest parking lot is at Mariánské Square. There is also a public transport stop nearby called “Poliklinika sever.”

The Small Theatre has been operating in České Budějovice since 1949. Since 2004, it has been the fourth stage of the South Bohemian Theatre alongside drama, opera, and ballet. It focuses on productions for children and young audiences from secondary schools and universities. It has its own stage on Hradební Street. The Small Theatre also creates summer performances for the Revolving Auditorium in Český Krumlov each year and has become famous for projects such as "Kašpárek v rohlíku."
