Kitesurfing
Fly like a bird, ride the waves on a board – this is what kiting is all about. Rightfully considered an adrenaline sport, kiting allows for a completely new way of moving, with a large inflatable or chamber kite soaring above you, pulling you into an experience beyond imagination.
Kiteboarding is one of the fastest-growing sports. Back in 1998, only a handful of enthusiasts practiced it, whereas today, there are hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of riders worldwide.
The Kitesport instructors in Černá v Pošumaví will guide you through your first steps on a large meadow above the Jestřábí campsite. Then, nothing will stop you from riding the Lipno waves like a pro. In winter, the area is perfect for snowkiting and icekiting, where you can carve through the snow or glide across the ice at thrilling speeds.
Whether you're drawn to buggykiting in a specialized cart, landkiting on roller skates, or classic kiteboarding in the summer months on the water – one thing is certain: you won’t be bored at Lipno. There's always plenty of wind to enjoy!

Do you know that...
The first recorded attempts to use a kite for traction date back to the 13th century in China. In 1903, aviation pioneer Samuel Cody built a controllable kite capable of lifting a person into the air. To demonstrate the power of his kites, he even crossed the English Channel in a small boat pulled by a kite.
