Tábor Zoo

The largest zoo in South Bohemia focuses primarily on the protection of endangered species from our country and the rest of the world, while also offering visitors the opportunity to see more than two hundred animals (more than a third of which are protected species). Here, you can find unique animals such as the Amur tiger or the Arctic wolf, as well as bison, which are part of efforts to reintroduce them into the Czech wilderness.

The main mission of the zoo is clear – to provide these species with a safe habitat where they can reproduce. The second goal is to raise awareness among visitors and give them a deeper understanding of the animal world.

Zoo Tábor is an ideal place for families with children, thanks to the close contact with animals. Other highlights include the excellent cuisine of its restaurant and free parking.
