The summer residence of Beneš family
In the middle of a natural park is a family villa of the 2nd Czechoslovakian President Dr. Edvard Beneš.
In early 1930s, Hana and Edvard Beneš had a villa as a place for rest built in town of Sezimovo Ústí, in places where once master Jan Hus preached. It was created with the direct participation of spouses and thus reflected the images of a house resembling country houses in southern France.
When Dr. Edvard Beneš was elected the President of the Republic in 1935, the house became the presidential seat. Visits from the political and cultural scene were coming, Karel Čapek, the writer, belonged to particularly welcome guests.
