Velešín Municipal Museum

Velešín Municipal Museum

On the first floor of the former Church of St. Philip and St. James, an exhibition of the local museum is installed. The centerpiece of the museum is a historical model of the town of Velešín, created by Zdeněk Korbela according to a cadastral map from 1893.

The same author also created a smaller model depicting part of the Velešín horse-drawn railway, complete with a freight wagon carrying salt. The permanent exhibition introduces visitors to the most interesting aspects of the town’s history, from the earliest times to 1945.

The museum's opening hours are the same as those of the Information Center.
