Stráž Brewery
The brewery builds on the beer brewing tradition in Stráž from the mid-16th century to 1926.
The STRÁŽ Brewery was established in the former premises of the JAS Stráž nad Nežárkou company, which produced wooden toys. Since beer brewing ended almost 100 years ago, the new brewery started with a clean slate. The idea for the brewery's construction was born on July 1, 2020, and the first batch of beer saw the light of day on December 1, 2021.
Offered Beers: The beers are unpasteurized and unfiltered, preserving all health-beneficial substances.
- Strážská Ema 11 %: Pale lager in Pilsner style, with an alcohol content of approximately 4.5 % vol.
- Strážský Hofmistr 12 %: Pale lager in Pilsner style, with an alcohol content of approximately 5.0 % vol.
- Strážský Baron 13 %: Semi-dark strong beer.
- Černej pes 12 %: Classic dark lager with an alcohol content of approximately 5.0 % vol.
Where to Taste: Open daily in July and August from 10:00 to 20:00 in the brewery courtyard.
How to get there
Parking is available directly on Ema Destinnová Square. The square is also crossed by cycling and hiking routes.
