Crocodile ZOO in Protivín
Visit the largest European collection of crocodiles, alligators, caimans, and gharials. However, Zoo Protivín is not just about crocodiles; it also features a collection of snakes, including cobras, vipers, and rattlesnakes. A part of the zoo is the "Prehistoric Zoo" exhibit, where you can find prehistoric turtles and more. Another section includes a zoological museum, where you can see, among other things, a complete crocodile skeleton.

This zoo is a conservation institution specializing in breeding critically endangered crocodile species and protecting natural habitats. Here you will see "adult" crocodile giants over four meters long, as well as newly born hatchlings. Among the world's most endangered crocodile species showcased here are the Indian gharial, the Sunda gharial, and the Philippine crocodile.
