Rýdův Kopec Observation Tower
This 33-meter-high observation tower with a viewing terrace at a height of 24 meters was opened to the public in 2015.
Located at an altitude of 552 meters above sea level, it is a prominent feature of the surrounding area and offers views of Česká Kanada, as well as Šumava, the Novohradské Mountains, Kleť, and beyond.
Visitors can reach the viewing terrace by climbing either the spiral steel staircase with 102 steps or the wooden staircase with 128 steps.
The 360° panoramic view provides sights of both nearby and distant settlements. Under optimal conditions, you can even see the Alps.

How to get there
You can reach the observation tower via a dirt road from the settlement of Děbolín (about 4 km west of Jindřichův Hradec, near road no. 23 to Kardašova Řečice). In Děbolín, turn off the main road onto a side road and head toward the local chapel. At the crossroads behind the chapel, you will find a signpost, and then follow the cycle path or the red tourist trail to the observation tower.
