How to get there
There are two access routes to the lookout tower.
The first route leads from the northwest, starting in Čelkovice. From the village square, follow U Lípy street onto a dirt road leading to the cemetery. Just before the cemetery, turn left and walk for half a kilometer until you cross the Tábor – Bechyně railway line. After crossing the tracks, turn sharply to the right and continue for about 600 meters to the turnoff below Babí hora.
The second access route starts at the bridge over the Lužnice River near the wastewater treatment plant. After crossing the bridge, there is a steep 150-meter ascent on a rough concrete road through the forest to the farm. From there, continue briefly on asphalt, then take a stony field road with a gentle ascent for another 550 meters to the turnoff to the summit of Babí hora. After 80 meters, you will reach the forest, where a narrow 70-meter gravel path leads directly to the lookout tower.
