Castle ruins of Borotín

The ruins, called Borotín or sometimes the Old castle, belong to the most romantic in Toulava

 Karel Hynek Macha, Czech romantic writer, dreamt his dreams here.

Only a part of the tower and the remains of the old and the new palace with a gate had been preserved to these days.The actual remains of the medieval water castle stand proudly on a rocky hill near the town of Borotín; surrounded on three sides by Starozámecký pond and Babinec pond.

There is a unique atmosphere full of wild ferment, mysterious stories and romantic whims found on this place, you can come here to enjoy it on a bike.
