Dačice State Castle
Originally a Renaissance chateau that underwent several reconstructions, the last one in the Empire style. The public can visit the representative ground-floor rooms preserved in the state from the time of the last owners, a collection of Empire interiors, and a late Art Nouveau library.
The chateau in Dačice was built at the end of the 16th century in Renaissance style, later modified into Baroque style, and finally in Empire style in the first half of the 19th century. The guided tour takes you to the ceremonial halls on the ground floor, through the hall with its unique Empire staircase, up to the residential interiors of the first floor and the renowned chateau library. The chateau also offers a tour of the Municipal Museum and Gallery, and you can relax in the courtyard or take a stroll through the beautiful park.
