Bušek Hammer Mill

Bušek Hammer Mill

A unique preserved water hammer from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. In the historic forge, you'll be captivated not only by the forge and period tools but also by the trip hammer, grindstone, and blower, all powered by three water wheels.

In the residential part, period furnishings have been preserved, including a "black kitchen." In summer, concerts, theatrical performances, and various other cultural events are held here.

Newly opened at Bušek's Hammer, specifically in the loft of the barn, is the exhibition "Crafts (Not Only) on Water," providing a comprehensive overview of crafts and craftsmen who practiced their trade in Trhové Sviny and its surroundings. Here, you'll find information about hammermen, carpenters, blacksmiths, filers, sawyers, joiners, woodcarvers, wheelwrights, millers, bakers, butchers, and many others who are now part of history. The exhibition is complemented by exhibits, examples of tools used by craftsmen, and, of course, their products.
