Additional information
The museum exhibition consists of two fascinating sections.
The first part is dedicated to the history of Czech puppetry – from the oldest puppeteers through family and association theaters to professional stages. In addition to traditional devils and jesters, visitors will see marionettes designed according to the works of M. Aleš, V. Sucharda, and J. Trnka.
The second part is devoted to the circus. Notably, this is the only circus museum in the Czech Republic. In addition to posters, photographs, and documents, visitors can step into the circus arena themselves – featuring trapezes, Persian poles, unicycles, juggling equipment, and circus costumes. A special attraction in this exhibition is a motorcycle once ridden by both human and animal stars from the film Six Bears with Cibulka.
