Rafting - Area Lídy Polesné
Bored with ordinary water tourism? Looking for something wilder? Come to České Vrbné and take on the rapids! Whether you're a beginner or a pro, there’s something for everyone – with equipment rental and expert instructors available.
The Lída Polesná Water Sports Center, named after the famous Czechoslovak slalom canoeist, is located in České Vrbné, near České Budějovice. It is situated directly on the cycling path between České Budějovice and Hluboká nad Vltavou. The artificial slalom course allows you to try rafting, kayaking, or stand-up paddling (SUP), even under the guidance of experienced instructors. A rental shop for water sports equipment is available on-site.
The main feature is the artificial slalom course with adjustable obstacles, allowing course modifications to suit different difficulty levels.
- The upper section begins with an entry pool, used for canoe polo in summer and as an ice rink in winter.
- The first two cascades are designed for beginners, with calm sections in between.
- The race section starts at the first footbridge and includes mobile obstacles that change according to competition requirements.
- Unique in the Czech Republic: The course features a mix of fast slides, waves, and training pools, making it ideal for both individual practice and group training.
Both families and adrenaline lovers can enjoy the rafting experience. Advanced riders can take on the course alone, while beginners can benefit from professional coaching.
