Oskar Nedbal Theatre Tábor
The theatre is an architecturally unique complex combining the original pseudo-Renaissance theatre building from 1887 and a reconstruction of the adjacent Empire-style house completed in 1965.
It features a single stage with two perpendicularly connected auditoriums, accommodating 350 to 650 spectators.
The theatre is named after the famous native Oskar Nedbal, a prominent composer, conductor, and outstanding violist.
Both stages regularly host around thirty ensembles from all Prague theatres and most regional theatre groups. The two halls are also used as concert venues for classical music and as spaces for performances by musical and entertainment groups of all kinds.
The theatre also includes an exhibition hall, the Evárium, the foyer of the small theatre (exhibition spaces), a theatre club, and a café.
