Budweiser Budvar is the largest brewery in the Czech Republic that remains in Czech hands. As a national brewery, it belongs somewhat to all of us, every Czech.
Budějovický Budvar prides itself on the quality of its beer. All beers are brewed exclusively in České Budějovice using high-quality ingredients and undergo maturation in brewery lager tanks. This brewery upholds the reputation of Czech brewing not only within the Czech Republic but also worldwide, exporting over 1.2 million hectoliters annually – the highest among all Czech brands.
Today's Budějovický Budvar was founded under the name Český akciový pivovar and began brewing its renowned beer on October 7, 1895.
