Týn nad Vltavou is a great starting point for enthusiastic cyclists in South Bohemia. This trip will take you to the beautiful spa town of Bechyně, where you can visit the famous bridge and ceramic museum, and along the way, you can stop at the Dražíč Brewery.

Route description
TÝN NAD VLTAVOU - KOLODĚJE NAD LUŽNICÍ - KOLOMĚŘICE - CHRÁŠŤANY - DRAŽÍČ - HVOŽĎANY - BECHYNĚ - HODONICE - BŘEZNICE - ČENKOV U BECHYNĚ - SMILOVICE - DOBŠICE - TŘITIM - TÝN NAD VLTAVOU
Set out from Týn nad Vltavou to the charming town of Bechyně via Koloděje nad Lužnicí. Follow cycling route 1093 from Týn nad Vltavou to Koloděje nad Lužnicí (3.5 km), then take the road through Koloměřice to Chrášťany (6 km). Continue from Chrášťany to Dražíč (1.5 km), then from Dražíč through Hvožďany along cycling routes 1137 and 1093 to Bechyně (8 km). 2.5 km from Dražíč, between Dražíč and Nemějice, there is a detour to Mount Tábor, accessible by the green hiking trail from Nemějice.
For the return journey from Bechyně, follow cycling route 1098 through Hodonice (4.5 km), Březnice (2.5 km), Čenkov u Bechyně (4 km), Smilovice, Dobšice (3.5 km), Třitim (2 km). After Třitim, at the Vltava River, turn right and continue on cycling route 1079 (1060) back to Týn nad Vltavou (5 km).

However, you should not miss the fact that it has two UNESCO heritage elements – rafting and puppetry, both closely linked to the town, with their history showcased in the city museum.
