From Kaplice to Pořešín Castle
The starting point of this blue-marked trail is the town park in Kaplice.
From here, you can follow the left bank of the Malše River, where the trail leads through the wild landscape of a river canyon. Up to the confluence with Černá Creek, the terrain is gentle, but as you continue along the left bank of the Malše, there are a few more challenging sections. But don’t worry – crossing the riverbank boulders is secured with a chain. Only in the final sections does the slope become steeper, dropping sharply into the river. In these areas, caution and some agility are needed when crossing the rugged terrain. The castle ruins appear on the left side, perched on a rocky promontory, partially hidden by trees. The path leading up runs to the left of the castle.
