Places of Interest
Take a journey through time! The Castle Museum invites you to explore the era of the Lords of Krumlov, the Rosenbergs, and other prominent noble families, who once resided in Český Krumlov and shaped the town's unique appearance. The museum exhibits a vast collection of valuable artifacts from the castle's depository, and visitors can enjoy early 20th-century films in the cinematograph.
The Castle Museum is located in the so-called Little Castle (Hrádek), the oldest part of the castle complex. The museum elegantly combines a presentation of castle interiors with a museum exhibition, similar to the guided tours. Adding to the experience is the Castle Tower, offering a spectacular view of the historic town and the castle moat, home to the Krumlov bears for centuries.
The ground floor of the Castle Museum includes a refreshment area, a research room, a space for educational activities, and a visitor center. Additionally, the museum provides a new and stunning panoramic view of Český Krumlov, serving as both an educational and relaxing destination.

How to get there
From the road between Kájov and České Budějovice, turn right just before the bridge onto Latrán Street. Follow it until you reach the Budějovická Gate, then continue to the Červená Gate. This will bring you to the first castle courtyard, ending at the bear moat. From there, continue on foot to the second courtyard, where the Castle Tower is located.
