Boat Trips on the Malše and Vltava Rivers - From the blind arm of the Malše, just a short distance from the city center, the boat Sv. Rozálie departs. From its deck, you can admire the oldest preserved landmarks in the city center, historic buildings, and architecturally interesting bridges. From the confluence of the Malše and Vltava, you’ll cruise past the swimming stadium to the Jiráskův weir, and along the river upstream, passing the sports hall, ice hockey, and football stadiums, all the way to the Luční weir. The boat also offers themed cruises for special occasions.
Vrbenské Ponds - This system of four ponds and surrounding wetlands, located on the northwestern edge of České Budějovice, is a nature reserve and an important bird area. Over 190 species of birds can be found here, with around 80 species also nesting. The area stretches right behind the city’s built-up area and is interwoven with a network of paths along the pond embankments. Ideal for a walk, bike ride, or a longer hike. During your visit, you can also stop by the nearby Minipivovar Kněžínek, where you’ll find a unique birdwatching tower.
- Small Theater - The fourth stage of the South Bohemian Theatre, located on Hradební Street, focuses on children and young audiences.
