Zlatá stezka / The Golden Path

Since the Middle Ages, the historic Golden Path has connected Bohemia with the Danube, named for the wealth it brought. This long-distance hiking trail on the "Green Roof of Europe" introduces visitors to unique nature and exceptional historical landmarks.

The route system consists of three main branches: the Prachatice, Vimperk, and Kašperské Hory branches. The trail passes through the South Bohemian and Pilsen regions, following marked trails of the Czech Tourist Club, equipped with trail logos, information boards, and rest areas.

The route starts in České Žleby, accessible by car. The nearest train station is in Stožec, 5 km from the starting point.
