Vltavotýnský Brewery
A historic brewery in Týn nad Vltavou, which resumed its operations after 77 years!
We are a craft brewery from the picturesque South Bohemian town of Týn nad Vltavou. We have decided to continue a tradition spanning more than 400 years and brew honest beer of the highest quality.
The first written mention of the brewery situated on the hill above the town of Týn nad Vltavou dates back to around 1560, although the brewery is likely even older. At the time, the brewery served as the economic base for the nearby castle and belonged to the Archdiocese of Prague.
Even in the toughest times, beer production was maintained here until the early 20th century. In the following decades, the brewery gradually fell into decline, and it was closed after World War II. Now, the entire site is being gradually reconstructed, and after more than 70 years, beer is once again being brewed in Týn nad Vltavou.
Beers produced:
- Svobodný pán 10° Light Draft
- Hradní Ležák 12° Light Lager
- Višeň 13° Cherry-Flavored Strong Ale, Top-Fermented
- Andromeda 13° Light Strong Ale, Top-Fermented
- Tobiáš 14° Dark Specialty
