Taste Tábor – The City of Gastronomy
Master chefs, the best ice cream in the Czech Republic, homemade delicacies, and a medieval tavern. Come and taste Tábor!
Did you know that Tábor is home to two members of the Czech National Team of Chefs and Pastry Chefs, which won the international cooking competition in Singapore in 2018? That the Czech ice cream champion, Jiří Hochman, makes his award-winning ice cream here? That Tábor produces its own original chocolate? And that you can experience a true medieval feast here? Come to Tábor, indulge in culinary delights, and enjoy the delicious offerings in the romantic atmosphere of a medieval town.
Enter the Old Town from Křižík Square via Palackého Street and start your culinary journey with a visit to Moccacafé.

At Tábor's Chocolate Museum, you can see a chocolate statue of hockey star Jaromír Jágr, a miniature version of the city of Tábor, and even chocolate car models. You can also create your own praline, buy delicious chocolate, and enjoy various sweet treats. While the children have fun in the creative workshop, we recommend grabbing a coffee and dessert at Café Budík, located just across from the museum.
