Grasel Brewery
The first owners of the brewery were the Vladykové of Osečany. Beer brewing began here in 1539.
With the opening of the microbrewery in 2015, the tradition of brewing beer in Český Rudolec was revived. The brewery's equipment is located directly in the restaurant within the building of the Castle Pension. The fermentation tanks and lager cellar with storage tanks are situated in the adjoining renovated historical building of the former blacksmith shop.
The original building lies on the southern side of the castle grounds and is in a critical condition. The rescue of this over 500-year-old brewery building is also one of the priorities.

Do you know that...
...is the castle in Český Rudolec also known as the "Little Hluboká"?
There is also a partially true legend about the old brewery in Český Rudolec, where the infamous robber Grasel (locally known as Grázl) allegedly robbed the brewery's office.
