Bukovar Family Brewery
The Bukovar Family Brewery from Dolní Bukovsko continues the tradition of brewing beer in South Bohemia, where beer was brewed in the nearby village of Bzí as early as the 18th century.
The idea to revive beer brewing arose in the summer of 2013 in response to the declining quality of common commercial beers. The goal is to brew not only honest Czech bottom-fermented beer but also top-fermented beers, known primarily abroad. In 2013–2014, recipes were developed, and in the following two years (2015–2016), beer was brewed in rented breweries. At the beginning of 2017, proprietary brewing and fermentation technology was designed. For beer production, in addition to high-quality Czech malts, hops, and herbs, infant water from the underground lake of Dolní Bukovsko is used, ensuring the beer's exceptional taste.
Beers Produced:
- Proud Lion 12° Czech Lager
- Hungry Bear 11° Semi-Dark Specialty
- Space Coyote 12° Top-Fermented Ale
- Additional seasonal offerings
