Research and Teaching Microbrewery of FZT JU

Research and Teaching Microbrewery of FZT JU

The Research and Teaching Microbrewery of the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology at the University of South Bohemia was established in May 2016. Its goal is not only to supply the surrounding area with academic beer but especially to work in the fields of research and teaching in brewing.

In a city proud of its two large breweries with centuries of history and experience in beer production, this is a bold step and a challenge. But challenges are meant to be embraced. In addition to touring the brewery and the adjacent brewing museum, you can take courses on brewing beer, even in home conditions. Moreover, it is possible to gain full professional qualifications in the maltster-brewer trade. The brewery also offers the chance to brew your own beer under the supervision of an experienced brewmaster, for example, for a corporate party.

Beers Produced: Čtyrák Light Beer 8°, Čtyrák Pale Draft 10°, Čtyrák Pale Lager 11°, Čtyrák Pale Lager 12°, Čtyrák Granat 13°, Čtyrák IPA, Čtyrák Stout 14°, as well as various specialty beers brewed irregularly.

Where to taste and buy: Klub Kampa, campus area of the University of South Bohemia.
